Hotels are pretty reasonable here, but I'd book now as tourist season is a biggee.

It always depends on your budget. B&Bs are the cheapest. These are nice places to stay that the St. john's intl womens film fest uses for guests.

Hometel On Signal Hill - has unlimited wireless and long distance

The Bluestone Inn

Blue On Water

The Roses B&B

There are big box hotels, and the Franklin Hotel is new and right in the heart of things on Water.

For more information on accommodation in the St. John's area:

I must admit, I'm not a huge fan of Bed & Breakfasts. I don't know why, but the concept has never really appealed to me.

However, my girlfriend (a Newfoundlander herself) and I will be venturing out this summer---to Grand Falls to visit her family, and then to St. John's to...well...to get away from her family. LOL

I've never been to NFLD before, and she's never needed to stay in a hotel in St. John's, as far as I know (she went to MUN, but obviously stayed in rez instead of a hotel...that'd just be silly), so any recommendations you might have would be great.

Cheers!
