Cod tongues, lobster, and fresh off the hook fish fried up for supper. We are down in Florida now and you can't get fish and chips like up there. And the lobster are spiney and weird looking. I won't eat them at all they lack that sweet taste that cold water lobster have. My favorite place was King Cod in St. John's. Fish and chips with gravy.. Ohh I can feel my arteries hardening just thinking about it. MMMMMMM I look forward to taking my family up there and letting them experience the people and the food and the most beautiful country I have ever seen. My wife is a Newfie from St Johns. I have eaten most of the Newfie food and love all but cods tongues and flipper pie. The lobsters are large and taste wonderful. And going fishing on trouting day is great. Catchin those trout and landlocked salmon in that cold water is some of the best eating you could ever want.Go to Big Rs in St Johns and get a plate of fish n chips with stuffinn and gravy.
